Kaiden turned 10!  Holy Cow.  He had a birthday bash at a cabin in the woods with his best friends.  I think it was all he could have wanted in a party!  Think camouflage  marshmallow gun battles, 4 wheeler, man hunt...it was awesome.

Now my little man is 10.  He has his own style - as he always has.  That goofy hat he's wearing he wanted for his birthday and I haven't seen him without it since.  He still loves to get all his gear on and go out into the woods for battles and exploring.  Him and his friends have built an awesome fort back there.  He has had a 5 year love of all things HALO and its still going strong.  He even beat the newest Halo video game.  He hates homework with a passion.  He cherishes the time I spend reading to him at night that we have done since he was a babe.  Right now we are reading book 2 of 39 Clues.  Kaiden loves to do tricks and jumps on his scooter and can spend hours out front perfecting them.  There's definitely a change happening as he's getting older and testing new grounds and limits -  foul words in front of his mother are a big no no, dirty looks are starting to roll in, as well as that tone of voice that sets me from 0 to 100 in 1 second.  He's a funny kid and always trying to get us to laugh at him.  He's the funniest when he is trying the least of course and can send me into huge belly laughs with some of the things he says.  He's a great big brother and plays really fun games with Roxy and Fenix.  "Army" seems to be their favorite and they prefer me to stay out of it because I tend to ruin their fun with all my worrying someone will get hurt.

 I can tell that this year is going to be a tough one starting that transition of not being a little kid, but really, he's still a little kid :)  It's a tough place to be and I need to remember that.  Getting older can be hard but still so much fun.
